Typical Scope of MaaS Project

The concept of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is relatively new and continuously evolving around the world. MaaS integrates the services and products of mobility providers and provides them as a single service to users. A user accesses a digital platform that helps them to plan trips, make reservations/ bookings and payments for their entire journey from one interface irrespective of the number and type of modal options he/she chooses. Considering the level of integration and services offered, Cities need general guidance on the scope of work for MaaS implementation. This deliverable details out the typical scope of MaaS projects.

The Scope of Services that has been explained as part of this Deliverable consists of the following four main stages:

  • Stage 1: Planning and Design - Completion of all pre-development activities including planning and design of proposed MaaS system architecture
  • Stage 2: Development and testing of an Integrated MaaS platform
  • Stage 3: Deployment and Managing of MaaS platform and
  • Stage 4: Maintenance and technical support
